Héctor Luján Medina
Graduated in Law from the Ibero-American University with a Master’s Degree in International Law from ITESM Monterrey. He has over 20 years of experience in Corporate Law. Mr. Luján collaborated as General Manager and Legal Compliance at Longda Plastic Technology Co., Ltd, a Chinese company based in Shanghai, which established a new blow molding maquiladora operation in Juárez, Chihuahua.
Before the start of the maquiladora operation in Juárez, Mr. Luján was trained in Shanghai, China, regarding the mass production of the Chinese company. He was the Legal Director (CLO) at Grupo Intermex, a Mexican company based in Chihuahua dedicated to industrial development, with over 40 years of experience and presence in eleven key markets in Mexico. Intermex is one of the leading developers, owners, and operators of industrial real estate and a provider of logistics and shelter services in Mexico. Mr. Luján's responsibilities included overseeing and identifying legal issues across all departments and their interrelation, including construction, marketing and sales, property management, logistics, shelter, credit, finance, human resources, intellectual property, as well as corporate governance and business policies. He worked closely with the other officers and their departments, being aware of and directly advising the board of directors at the most confidential level.
Regarding law firms, Mr. Luján worked for two years in law offices in the United States; one year in Denver, Colorado at The Law Office of Brad Daybell, and another year in New York at The Law Office of Steven Nesheiwat, Esq. He was responsible for activities related to bankruptcy, immigration, real estate agreements, service agreements, debt negotiation, civil and commercial matters, and international law. He also worked as an interpreter in court hearings assisting lawyers, as well as in communication and negotiation with clients.
He was the Legal Manager at Carrier Corporation for more than three years, one of the companies of United Technology Companies (UTC), a global company dedicated to the production of air conditioning systems, responsible for all legal matters of the company. He was also the Legal Manager at Grupo Acosta Verde, one of the most important developers of shopping center buildings in Mexico, responsible for all legal matters related to the management of sixteen commercial centers in different states of Mexico. His responsibilities included real estate operations, purchase and sale agreements, service agreements, supplier agreements, outsourcing agreements, contract administration and custody, shareholder meetings, communication with local authorities, external legal services, and public notaries. In addition, he coordinated litigation and provided legal consulting.
